The landowner decided to remove the tree which provided a clear space for Shoreview Natives to prep the site for their future garden filled with native flowers and grasses. The front lawn was covered in black plastic in late summer and removed in the spring for planting.
These DIY homeowners tilled the site, installed a new deck, and put in a sidewalk of permeable pavers. Shoreview Natives then came in and worked with the family to install a biodegradable ground cover and plant over 250 plugs of nearly 20 species of flowers and grasses.
