After a massive storm took down the 70 year-old grove surrounding this house, what was once a shade garden of hostas, bleeding hearts, and ferns needed a sun-loving makeover. The homeowners contacted Shoreview Natives as they looked for something that would handle the drought like conditions they were now dealing with, that would bloom throughout the spring and summer, and also would provide bird habitat to bring feathered friends in close for viewing.

A wide variety of native flowers were installed, with blooming starting in early June and going strong through to the first frost in November.
